Job Summary:

ERM is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to support our NGL pipeline project efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining survey permission, settling damage claims during survey, and acquiring land rights. This is a full-time, limited-term role for a duration of 5 months, with the possibility of renewal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex negotiations with landowners to acquire land rights and resolve disputes.

  • Work with landowners to settle damage claims and resolve property damage issues.

  • Search public records to determine property ownership and interest.

  • Advise on fair market values for land acquisition and land rights.

  • Draft and/or supervise the preparation of documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, options to purchase, and other documents necessary for land acquisition.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.

  • 5+ years of experience in ROW or related real estate.

  • Solid working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and data management software.

  • Knowledgeable in real estate values and accepted real estate appraisal practices.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely in various locations for extended periods.

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism.

  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.

  • Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis for Office and Field Positions.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screen.

  • Must have a valid driver license.
