Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technical Assistant to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care by explaining complex diagnostic procedures, setting up exam rooms, and assisting radiologists and technologists as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Utilize EPIC system to manage patient information, answer phone calls, and maintain department workflow.
  • Environment of Care: Monitor and replenish department stock, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work collaboratively with departmental staff and hospital personnel to achieve positive relationships and contribute to a favorable public image.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Universal precaution, Epic system, medical terminology, radiology procedures, radiation safety, and aseptic technique.
