Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Radiology Practice Assistant to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our radiology division, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, ensuring seamless communication with patients, physicians, and staff, and maintaining the highest level of quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient procedures, maintaining effective communication with radiologists, nurses, and technologists.
  • Perform secretarial and receptionist functions, including patient registration, scheduling, and cash collection.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of patient information, including demographics, insurance, and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in medical terminology and office procedures, acquired through formal coursework or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of medical office or clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to manage stress and anxiety in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Working Conditions

This position is based in a medical office environment, with no supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.
