Supervision:
This position does not have any direct reports.

Position Summary:
Under close supervision, the incumbent will carry out general custodial tasks in various customer locations or assigned areas. Responsibilities include cleaning and detailing conference rooms, offices, cafeterias, courthouses, classrooms, government facilities, and common areas. The role requires knowledge of custodial practices, equipment, supplies, and procedures to ensure facilities are maintained in a clean and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform cleaning services using appropriate equipment and supplies, adhering to safety procedures.
2. Clean facilities, including restrooms and common areas.
3. Remove trash and replace plastic trash bags.
4. Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
5. Clean tables and microwaves.
6. Vacuum carpets, sweep, mop, and deodorize floors.
7. Clean walls, arrange furniture, and maintain window blinds.
8. Utilize correct chemicals on all surfaces and refill dispensers.
9. Ensure quality of work and customer satisfaction; respond to requests as per established procedures or refer to a supervisor.
10. Promptly address spills.
11. Maintain custodial equipment for proper operation and safety.
12. May wax and buff floors regularly.
13. May operate equipment such as a cardboard bailer.
14. May monitor inventory and supply areas.
15. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 0 to 1 year of experience in custodial services preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions for safe use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to adhere to structured processes and learn to operate specialized custodial equipment.
- Effective communication skills to respond to inquiries from customers and others.
- Strong human relations skills to foster effective working relationships.
- Availability for evening shifts and flexibility in scheduling.
- Ability to manage material resources and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must be capable of performing the following physical demands for extended periods:
- Maneuvering around the worksite
- Standing and walking
- Bending, kneeling, reaching, and stooping
- Lifting boxes or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Pushing or pulling objects such as vacuums and carts
- May be required to push/pull equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
- Grasping both small and large objects
- Climbing ladders and/or step stools.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment or at customer locations, which may include various facilities. Employees may encounter exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise from equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
