In this position, you will champion and facilitate lean initiatives, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement by leading, defining, and executing strategic activities while adhering to and enhancing established standards across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize Safety - From day one, you will engage in training to familiarize yourself with our Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Daily Operations - As a member of the plant leadership team, you will drive enhancements in safety, food safety, service, financial performance, quality, and employee engagement. You will lead the plant-wide cost savings initiatives to achieve annual objectives, which includes identifying, validating, coaching, and executing projects. Additionally, you will oversee the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics and processes, maintaining measurement standards and facilitating improvement plans.
  • Champion Change - You will establish and maintain plant KPIs and visual management tools, acting as the owner of the downtime reporting system. Continuously enhancing your knowledge of Kellogg Work Systems, lean manufacturing, and industry best practices will be crucial to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will deploy and coach lean methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and Autonomous Maintenance across all organizational levels to achieve business objectives.
  • Empower Teams - You will identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives utilizing cross-functional resources to achieve business results. Supporting collaborative problem-solving approaches, you will maintain positive relationships with the hourly workforce, plant management, sister plant resources, and corporate teams. You will also benchmark and share best practices across the organization while providing leadership in the transition to digital factory management.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field with experience in project and process management, particularly in a packaging manufacturing environment, is preferred.
  • A proven track record of driving projects focused on building sustainable processes to enhance OEE, alongside experience with SMED methodologies.
  • Experience in Daily Direction Setting for teams to implement process and personnel improvements.
  • Proficient in collaborating with Operations and Training Departments to ensure the development of Operations Team members, including mentoring in manufacturing equipment concepts and processes.
