In this position, you will champion and facilitate lean initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement by defining and implementing strategic activities while adhering to and enhancing established standards throughout the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritizing Safety - From day one, you will engage in training to familiarize yourself with our Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Daily Operations - As a member of the plant leadership team, you will drive enhancements in safety, food safety, service, financial performance, quality, and employee engagement. You will lead the plant-wide cost savings initiatives to achieve annual objectives, which includes identifying, validating, coaching, and executing projects. You will also oversee the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metric, maintaining measurement standards, facilitating improvement plans, and conducting monthly reporting.
  • Driving Transformation - You will establish and uphold plant KPIs and visual factory tools, serving as the owner of the KPLAS/downtime reporting system. Continuously expanding your knowledge of Kellogg Work Systems, lean manufacturing, and industry-leading cost-saving practices will be essential in nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement. You will deploy and mentor teams in Lean practices, 5S, Kaizen, Autonomous Maintenance, and Kellogg Work Systems tools to achieve business outcomes.
  • Empowering Teams - You will identify process inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver business results. Supporting collaborative problem-solving approaches while maintaining positive relationships with the workforce, management, and corporate resources will be key. You will also benchmark and share best practices across the organization and provide leadership in transitioning to digital factory management.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, with manufacturing experience in project and process management, and extensive exposure to process improvement in a packaging manufacturing environment preferred.
  • A proven track record of driving projects focused on building sustainable processes to enhance OEE, utilizing SMED methodologies.
  • Experience in Daily Direction Setting for teams to implement process and personnel improvements.
  • Proficient in collaborating with Operations and Training Departments to ensure the development of Operations Team members and mentoring them in manufacturing equipment concepts and processes.
