GA Foods is seeking a Senior Culinary Supervisor to enhance our kitchen operations.

The Senior Culinary Supervisor will be responsible for meal preparation for daily service, adhering to established recipes and menus while meeting strict timelines and food safety regulations. This role includes portioning and packaging meals according to specifications, assisting with kitchen cleanliness, storage, necessary documentation, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate will embody the company's values, vision, and mission as part of a unified team.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3 am - 11 am - availability during these hours is essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Culinary Supervisor:

  • Prepare meals under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager, following standardized recipes and portion control measures.
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and packing areas as directed.
  • Perform general utility tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare various food items including meats, sauces, casseroles, desserts, and gravies.
  • Utilize equipment such as meat slicers and convection ovens effectively.
  • Complete and maintain necessary documentation and records.
  • Support sanitation and housekeeping efforts within the facility.
  • Accurately pack food products and components.
  • Participate in all required training sessions, including HACCP, GMP standards, and ServSafe certification.
  • Provide assistance to packing and sanitation teams.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications for the Senior Culinary Supervisor:

  • Experience in cooking, preferably in an institutional setting.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as meat slicers, steam kettles, and convection ovens.
  • Capable of following written recipes and cooking/packaging instructions accurately.
  • Must meet the employer's attendance standards for the specified shift.
  • Skilled in portioning and packing to precise quantities.
  • Willingness to support packing and sanitation staff as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing.
  • Regular standing, walking, and using hands for handling and feeling.

Weight Lifting/Exertion:

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular lifting of up to 10 lbs.
