Job Summary

As a Senior Sous Chef Pastry, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team and ensuring the success of daily kitchen operations. You will be accountable for maintaining high-quality products, supervising staff, and managing food-related functions. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the culinary team to achieve high-quality products and excellent customer service.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen shift operations to ensure compliance with food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement new menu items, recipes, and presentation styles to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and food storage to maintain efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement culinary strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff, including direct reports.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Benefits

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $104,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Additionally, Marriott offers a bonus program, employee stock purchase plan, and other incentives.
