Job Summary

As an Account Executive at FusionAuth, you will drive the new business sales process, from start to finish. You will work with warm prospects generated from our Marketing and Community Outreach programs, as well as your personal business development initiative to build your pipeline. We are a fast-moving business, and we expect our AEs to close 8-10 deals per quarter.

Responsibilities
  • Sell to Developers, Engineering, and Technical Executives
  • Primarily cover mid-market accounts with 5 to low 6-figure deals
  • Deliver product walkthroughs and understand the business motivations of every opportunity
  • Understand our target market and our unique value to technical and business audiences
  • Schedule and manage the sales process based on inbound warm leads from marketing campaigns and outbound prospecting
  • Generate additional leads from your targeted outbound prospecting activity
  • Assist prospects in choosing the appropriate product and configuration
  • Negotiate and close orders based on prescribed guidelines
  • Meet monthly and quarterly qualified lead and revenue objectives
  • Document and manage your business within our CRM system while providing accurate forecasts to the team
  • Engage with technical and non-technical employees of prospective customers at various levels and build a strong value proposition for FusionAuth
  • Engage with the FusionAuth community in Slack, StackOverflow, and elsewhere
  • Work directly with the FusionAuth marketing and engineering teams to build sales campaigns that target developers
Qualifications
  • At least two years of technical sales experience
  • Technical product experience, preferably targeting developers
  • A love of learning and problem-solving
  • Proven success as a sales rep, with demonstrable quota attainment
  • Technology sales experience, preferably B2B software or SaaS
  • Ability to connect and communicate with technical customers
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • High level of energy, motivation, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Competitive and focused on achieving goals
Compensation
  • $140k-$200k expected OTE range (50/50 split; uncapped with accelerators)
