Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Curriculum Development: Assess the educational needs of nursing staff and develop curricula to meet these needs, ensuring that programs are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Program Implementation and Evaluation: Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs, including orientation and continuing education, to ensure that they are effective in improving patient care outcomes.
  • Practice Standards and Compliance: Develop and implement practice standards that promote a safe and healthy environment for patients, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to patient safety.
  • Staff Development and Support: Provide direct oversight and support to nursing staff, including monitoring progress, scheduling, and clinical skills, to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, and other clinical educators to plan and present continuing education programs, and communicate progress and clinical performance to Nurse Managers as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of specialty; experience as a classroom instructor in a hospital professional development department or a school of professional nursing preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education; PhD or DNP; Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a classroom instructor in a hospital professional development department or a school of professional nursing.
  • Skills and Abilities: Experience with curriculum development, evaluative methods, and contact hour application.
Licenses and Certifications
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
