Key Responsibilities:


The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the aging of customer invoices and taking necessary actions to resolve outstanding account balances promptly.

This role involves achieving monthly productivity targets and financial objectives. As with all positions at KeHE, we expect all actions to align with our Mission, Vision, and Values.

Core Duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Manage and oversee a portfolio of accounts, including but not limited to developing resolution processes, making account adjustments, and conducting credit risk assessments.

Establish or maintain account reconciliations using analytical methods and present findings effectively.

Engage directly with customers regarding overdue payments, investigate discrepancies, and negotiate repayment plans.

Provide professional assistance on sensitive matters, effectively addressing inquiries and resolving concerns for both internal and external customers.

Make recommendations and escalate issues related to customer accounts to Accounting and Sales Management, ensuring timely follow-ups.

Meet monthly team productivity targets and financial objectives.

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:


Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, including proficiency in VLOOKUPS, various formulas, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.

Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of work while meeting tight deadlines.

Requires broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and the ability to handle complex accounts receivable aging.

Must perform all functions independently with a positive, customer service-oriented attitude.

Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Knowledge of collection procedures, policies, and standards is crucial.

Understanding of General Accounting Principles and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field is preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable is required.

Experience in Customer Service, transportation systems, proof of delivery, shortages, damages, and deduction resolution is a plus.
