Job Summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer to join our team. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to individuals on probation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations, assessments, and supervision of clients on probation
  • Develop and implement case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court orders
  • Collaborate with other judicial districts and states on victim-related concerns
  • Provide support to victims and respond to community feedback regarding clients and probationers in the community
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
  • Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including office and jail settings. The individual must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and be exposed to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
