Amentum is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to enhance our operations and maintenance capabilities. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where the work schedule may fluctuate based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols, including job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Manage, maintain, and repair all facility-related equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform inspections, and ensure all building systems are in optimal condition.
  • Conduct planned maintenance on various systems while being attentive to customer requirements.
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods on mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, and hydraulic systems to identify issues and implement timely repairs.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance checks as scheduled.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans, maintain spare parts inventory, and communicate inventory usage.
  • Assist with the installation and inspection of new equipment and provide support for renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety practices.
  • Respond to service requests and provide feedback to customers while ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Propose improvements to maintenance processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and instruments to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Operate various tools and technology to complete tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer needs while adhering to assigned timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in maintenance, preferably in Industrial HVAC, Mechanical Repair, or Automotive Repair.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts at heights.
  • This position does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.

Additional Information:

  • Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • A valid Driver's License may be required.
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge is necessary.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and alternative schedules, may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Some tasks may involve repetitive wrist movements.
  • Extensive walking throughout facilities may be necessary.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, and reach during work hours.
  • Ability to distinguish colors for wire color-coding.
  • Competence in reading and understanding various documents and computer screens.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and computer systems.
  • Willingness to attend meetings and travel as required.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to move light to medium weight materials as needed.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, even under stress.

  • Ability to manage job-related stressors while maintaining performance standards.
