LIV Golf is transforming the traditional game of golf by introducing the first global event series, showcasing 13 teams in a simultaneous team and individual championship, featuring 52 elite players across 14 events. In just two years, LIV Golf has emerged as a significant player in modern sports, positively influencing communities and driving meaningful change for fans, stakeholders, and players alike.

Company Background

Founded in 2022, LIV Golf began with an eight-event 'Invitational Series.' The 2023 season marked the launch of the LIV Golf League, hosting 14 events worldwide, while also introducing the first-ever Team franchises led by some of golf's most celebrated athletes. The format honors the game's traditions while catering to contemporary sports enthusiasts, featuring a 3-day, 54-hole structure with no cuts and a shotgun start, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience.

The events, fully owned and operated by LIV Golf, are broadcast globally to over 300 million households, creating a family-friendly atmosphere with festival-like entertainment and top-tier competition, a unique blend in the golfing world.

In the upcoming season, LIV Golf plans to broaden its reach, hosting events at iconic venues across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, alongside prestigious locations in the US. A comprehensive player pathway will also be introduced, featuring the first-ever player Promotion and Relegation system, enhancing the integration of LIV Golf into the global sports landscape.

Apart from on-course entertainment, LIV Golf is committed to uplifting the communities it engages with through its innovative social impact and sustainability initiative, 'Potential, Unleashed,' reflecting the league's dedication to giving back and enhancing the world through golf.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the strategic vision for fan engagement and revenue-generating digital platforms, including Web3, loyalty programs, and eCommerce.
  • Lead a cross-functional product team to establish and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful product culture within the organization.
  • Prioritize the product backlog to ensure the delivery of high-impact development work.
  • Identify and validate opportunities to engage casual sports fans through the entire product lifecycle, focusing on sports experiences.
  • Design scalable product features that meet global market demands and specific regional requirements.
  • Encourage a culture of testing and learning to validate product features using a Lean approach.
  • Collaborate closely with content, editorial, and external design and engineering teams to create immersive experiences that enhance fan engagement.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in product strategy and management, preferably in sports, entertainment, retail, e-commerce, or startups.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, overseeing a small team.
  • Proven experience in consumer-facing digital products within sports, media, or technology sectors, with hands-on expertise in Web3, loyalty, and eCommerce.
  • A strong desire to understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Ability to articulate a compelling vision and align cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing team performance and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with digital publishing products and platforms.
  • Collaboration with design, UX, and content teams, including external vendors.
  • Experience with multi-territory and multi-language products.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, hypothesis validation, user testing, and analytics tools.
  • Experience with business intelligence and product analytics tools.
  • A passion for sports, television, and entertainment.

  • Proficient in product management tools and methodologies such as Lean, JTBD, Agile, and prioritization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of technology and product architecture.
  • Proven track record of delivering products with cross-functional teams in the enterprise software sector.
  • Expertise in conducting user research and building customer empathy.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude in the face of challenges, inspiring the team to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to analyze critical product metrics, user behavior, and market trends to inform product development.
