Position Overview

The University Writing Program is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in the instruction of rhetoric and writing. This position is designed to enhance the educational experience within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

This role is a non-tenure track appointment with the potential for renewal for an additional two years. The University Writing Program is a dynamic entity that offers a variety of writing-focused courses, including critical thinking and writing, writing across disciplines, and professional writing.

Postdoctoral Fellows will be responsible for teaching established upper-division courses such as Writing in the Law, Writing in the Medical Sciences, and Writing in the Humanities, while also having the opportunity to create courses that reflect their individual areas of expertise.

The teaching load is structured as 3/3/2, and the compensation is competitive, aligned with qualifications and experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Compensation:
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, including a full benefits package.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. required.

Preferred Experience:
Teaching experience in discipline-specific writing is preferred. Candidates with expertise in areas such as environmental or social justice rhetoric, digital media studies, and community-focused writing are particularly encouraged to apply.
