Job Overview

Position Summary: In collaboration with the Vice President/Director of Portfolio & Asset Management, the Senior Asset Management Executive will engage with colleagues across various departments including Portfolio & Asset Management, Accounting, and Finance. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the effective management of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly invoices to multiple stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets, proforma reports, presentations, and monthly asset manager updates, as well as reports for shareholders.
  • Oversee compliance and management of all project permits and licenses, and support legal processes related to management changes.
  • Monitor and update existing Resource Adequacy agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Gas Purchase Agreements, Insurance, and Energy Management Agreements.
  • Assist in managing financial and credit agreements, including documentation, letters of credit, collateral, and parent guarantees.
  • Address operational challenges such as forced outages, unplanned outages, and unbudgeted expenses, while analyzing financial implications.
  • Review data from merchant power plant assets and update monthly earnings forecasts, facilitating discussions on merchant risk with project partners.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in managing intricate financial models using Excel.
  • Familiarity with project documentation related to operational assets and project companies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • A proactive self-starter with a commitment to continuous improvement and a desire to learn.
  • Experience in the electric power generation sector, particularly in asset management or operational roles, is preferred.
