Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Engineers/Physical Scientists at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical reviews and assessments of nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify and address potential safety and security risks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physical Science from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in nuclear engineering or physical science.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Physical Science from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with nuclear power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety and security regulations and guidelines.
