Position Overview

The Licensed Behavior Specialist plays a crucial role in the clinical landscape, working under the guidance of the IBHS Program Director. This position is responsible for conducting continuous clinical evaluations, developing treatment strategies, and overseeing the implementation of behavior plans. Additionally, the specialist serves as a key advisor to families and collaborates with other professionals within the treatment team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Offers guidance and support to parents, educators, and community representatives.
  • Establishes systems of rewards and consequences to address behavioral issues.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination of clinical information among various professionals and agencies.
  • Ensures all documentation adheres to company policies and clinical standards within specified timelines.
  • Conducts ongoing evaluations of targeted behaviors using both direct and indirect assessment methods.
  • Performs Functional Behavior Assessments as necessary.
  • Stays informed on evidence-based behavioral methodologies.
  • Delivers culturally sensitive and competent services.
  • Imparts skills related to adaptive functioning utilizing the least restrictive approaches.
  • Accepts cases while ensuring ethical and effective treatment practices.
  • Completes initial training as mandated by company protocols.
  • Drafts and oversees the execution of behavior modification intervention plans based on input from the treatment team.
  • Provides expert consultation to Behavioral Consultants and other relevant staff.
  • Attends mandatory meetings and adheres to scheduled work commitments punctually.
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates individual, family, and group therapy sessions as directed.
  • Prepares all necessary reports, records, and correspondence as required by program regulations.
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field is required.
  • Behavioral Specialist Licensure (BSL) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Behavioral Consultant is required.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 annually
