Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MILSATCOM Technical Expert to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our satellite communication systems, ensuring seamless communication between our teams and partners around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on our satellite communication systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to new team members on the operation and maintenance of our systems.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate and submit reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and other relevant data.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available for maintenance and repair.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all security protocols and procedures are followed, and that all systems are compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in MILSATCOM technical operations, with a focus on system maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as Security+ or similar certifications from the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess a DoD Top Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
Working Environment

This role requires a standard Communications/Operations center environment, with occasional travel to support on/off-site testing or training activities. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to sit at computer workstations for long periods, as well as the ability to walk and stand during inspections and coordination with other teams. The successful candidate must also be able to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds or more, and be able to walk at least 500 feet in extremely cold weather.
