Position Summary:
The Group Director, Client Solutions and Planning is responsible for providing media leadership and oversight for a specific business unit, including managing Media AOR relationships. This role requires strategic direction and a comprehensive understanding of the client's business and the competitive landscape. You will foster relationships with clients and media partners, particularly at mid-senior levels, acting as a media consultant while overseeing all general management aspects of the team, including collaboration and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Strategy Development: Direct the formulation of planning objectives and strategies that align with the client's marketing goals, collaborating closely with media teams.
  • Team Leadership: Guide the client team to achieve objectives, mentoring employees to meet expectations at all levels.
  • Research and Insights: Analyze research data to provide insights and thought leadership that translate brand marketing objectives into effective media strategies.
  • Innovation Implementation: Research and apply new techniques and technologies relevant to both traditional and digital media strategies.
  • Performance Analysis: Oversee performance analysis and engage in discussions with clients and internal teams regarding strategic implications.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and secure relationships with key senior clients to deepen agency connections.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the agency within the industry by attending functions and participating in local market committees.

Qualifications:

  • At least 12 years of experience in media planning, with progressive client management experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in account leadership, specifically with retail clients.
  • At least 6 years of experience managing a Paid Search account.
  • Current knowledge of trends and innovations in media, retail, and luxury sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Fluency in communications planning and hands-on knowledge of media technology solutions.
