Business Director Job Description

At Capital Senior Living, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Director to join our team. As a Business Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business functions, including human resources, finance, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Operations: Assist with the implementation and administration of company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Human Resources: Support the human resources functions, including personnel records, orientation, employee retention efforts, leave of absence, and recruitment assistance.
  • Financial Management: Prepare census changes, enter payments, ancillary charges, prepare statements, process resident renewals, and close the AR books for each period.
  • Employee Management: Verify and maintain all employee records, including those relating to actions involving direct reports. Direct and manage direct reports.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Verify and submit timecards for bi-weekly payroll and track used PTO time for all staff.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Occupancy and Revenue: Support the Executive Director to increase occupancy, meet budgeted occupancy and revenue, and maintain a waiting list for available apartments.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing plans for the community, achieving community sales objectives and move-in goals as identified by the Executive Director and the Regional Director of Sales.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of experience with business office functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Three to five years in business office management, finance, or accounting, with a strong sales background.
