Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Controls Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of DDC control system projects within commercial environments. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading project planning, execution, and implementation.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams on project documentation and designs.
  • Managing project timelines and providing updates to the project management team.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and handling approvals.
  • Addressing potential issues proactively and communicating any impacts on costs or changes.
  • Reviewing materials and ensuring accurate orders.
  • Supervising subcontractor work and resolving installation challenges.
  • Providing mentorship and support to project teams.
  • Testing and configuring system databases, overseeing commissioning, and managing project closure.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety standards for all employees and subcontractors.
  • Conducting maintenance and site surveys as necessary.
  • Staying informed about product information related to installation and maintenance.
  • Offering technical support and training to clients.
  • Assisting in technical training for team members.
  • Being available for occasional after-hours or weekend work.
  • Traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS/BMS or HVAC Controls project management.
  • Experience in project estimation.
  • Familiarity with BAS/BMS platforms such as Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Delta Controls, Distech, or Trane.
  • Technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including AHUs, VAVs, boilers, and chillers.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara.
  • Background with Schneider Electric products.
  • Programming skills.
