Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at IMEC Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center. As a critical support role, the Project Manager will provide support for project work delivered to our clients, serving as the primary point of contact for projects assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage client projects that span across one or more departments, providing oversight for project resources and schedules.
  • Leadership: Lead activities for reporting and ensure solid project performance, including management of issues, risks, and project change requests.
  • Communication: Provide project leadership for the IMEC team to accomplish project milestones and goals, and identify and develop trusted adviser relationships with client, project, and program stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the financial status of projects to mitigate risks and identify project plan deficiencies, coordinating corrective action plans.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate day-to-day project activities with required resources, ensuring all project materials are procured and provided as specified in the project.
  • Reporting: Provide status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues to the appropriate levels in the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Three to five years of related experience preferred, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Sales Force.
