Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Controls Project Manager to oversee the execution of DDC control system projects within commercial environments. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality building automation solutions through effective project management, engineering collaboration, and client engagement.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and implementation.
  • Work closely with Engineering on project submissions and technical drawings.
  • Manage project timelines, schedules, and updates in coordination with the Project Management Team.
  • Regularly track and report project progress to senior management.
  • Prepare weekly updates for management review.
  • Maintain and organize project contract documentation.
  • Handle project submissions and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues, communicating impacts and changes promptly.
  • Review and verify Bill of Materials and submissions for accuracy.
  • Supervise subcontractor installations and troubleshoot installation challenges.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team.
  • Conduct system database testing and configuration, oversee commissioning, and manage project closure.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and trade personnel.
  • Prioritize safety for employees and subcontractors, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Perform maintenance, site assessments, replacements, and modifications as required.
  • Stay informed on product information related to installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and basic training to clients.
  • Assist technicians and the project management team with technical training and qualifications.
  • Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS/BMS or HVAC Controls project management.
  • Experience in project estimation.
  • Familiarity with BAS/BMS platforms such as Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Delta Controls, Distech, or Trane.
  • Technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including AHUs, VAVs, boilers, and chillers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric systems.
  • Programming experience is a plus.
