Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Use correct cleaning chemicals and follow OSHA standards to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Dishroom Operations: Manage the dishroom area, including washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless food service and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
  • Physical Demands: Constant standing and walking, frequent lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 10-15 lbs, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 30 lbs, and rare lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 100 lbs (with assistance).
  • Culinary Experience: Some culinary experience preferred, but not required.
  • Food Safety Certification: Valid California Food Handlers Card required.
