Job Summary

The Director of IT Certification Programs will provide strategic leadership and direction for the development and implementation of IT certification programs at Trocaire College. This role will be responsible for designing and managing training programs, instruction, and course content, as well as conducting program participant coaching and employer outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT certification programs that meet the needs of industry partners and students.
  • Design and manage training programs, instruction, and course content to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
  • Conduct program participant coaching to support student success and career advancement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to ensure alignment with workforce development goals.
  • Recruit and mentor new faculty members to support program growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to execute funded and grant-related programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline, business, or related field with relevant industry experience.
  • Proven record of excellence in training or demonstrated evidence of training potential.
  • Experience training in synchronous and asynchronous modalities.
  • Coaching skills to meet students where they are and guide them to successful outcomes.
  • Experience with content creation and delivery in an environment where student retention, completion, and attainment of certifications are key metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in an IT discipline, education, business, analytics, or related field with relevant industry experience.
  • IT certifications in subject areas taught, or the ability and motivation to earn certifications as recommended by the Director, Trocaire Technology Institute.
  • Experience in project development and management.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
