This position is responsible for overseeing all Patient Financial Services (PFS) processes to ensure Kettering Health receives maximum reimbursement, cash is posted accurately and timely, and patients receive quality service regarding their accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Knowledgeable of governmental and non-governmental billing regulations and compliant billing practices.
- Possess strong analytical skills to identify areas in need of performance improvement and manage projects to implement changes with measured outcomes.
- Align customer service initiatives to support and enhance the patient's experience.
- Innovative and creative ability to improve day-to-day work functions, for Customer Service, Cash, Credits/Refunds, and Self-pay.
- Ability to develop and implement departmental structural changes to allocate workload to align with industry standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and vendors to ensure KH receives the maximum reimbursement (within compliance) processes and credits/refunds are completed timely.
- Directs the processing of refunds, credits, and cash posting to ensure all payments/credits are posted accurately and compliantly.
Effective leadership defines a strategic plan that is consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and values; clearly communicates the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan throughout the organization; and fulfills the organization's vision by providing the framework to accomplish the goals of the strategic plan.
Requirements- Minimum Education: BA Preferred, or 5+ years' experience in billing management.
- Minimum Work Experience: Five to seven years of progressive management experience in patient accounting.
