Job Title: Environmental Supervisor

At SpaceX, we are committed to creating a sustainable future for humanity. As an Environmental Supervisor, you will play a critical role in leading our environmental team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the environmental team in implementing and maintaining environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, including EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, TRRC, RWQCB, and NEPA.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with environmental vendors and coordinate waste disposal, cleanup services, and other 3rd party services.
  • Perform tasks and ensure compliance related to all applicable regulations established by the EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, TRRC, RWQCB, NEPA, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure that environmental tasks, such as Storm Water and Spill Prevention Countermeasures and Control Plan inspections, are allocated and completed as directed by the EHS Manager.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 4+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety disciplines.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience implementing/developing environmental plans and policies.
  • Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with emergency response crews in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water.
  • Demonstrated success with hands-on work and attention to detail in either academic or career pursuits.
  • Ability to multi-task, to manage shifting priorities, and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a construction/industrial environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with technicians and engineers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area.
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
