At Amazon, we're committed to creating the next generation of personalized shopping and recommendations. As a Principal Product Manager, Technical, Recommendations, you'll lead our team to define new products and user experiences that surprise and delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategic vision for creating new personalized recommendation experiences at scale.
  • Build and execute a roadmap with industry-leading solutions that enable Amazon's Recommenders to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, data science, and program management teams to deliver products to customers.
  • Drive product roadmap creation, including working with operations, executive teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Mentor product managers and leaders in the team.
  • Establish standards and best practices to raise the bar on product management in the organization.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product.
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience in technical product management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, or Technology.

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
