About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Technical Product Manager to join our team at Amazon, where you will play a pivotal role in defining and driving the worldwide pricing strategy for most of AWS, including both public and private pricing models.

This is an exciting opportunity to accelerate cloud adoption, simplify complex migrations, and transition customers' financial planning from capex to opex. You will have the opportunity to solve the top customer pain point for millions of diverse global customers ranging from startups to well-known Fortune 100 enterprises.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a broad understanding of systems and software engineering concepts and apply this technical knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify.
  2. Define business cases, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, and financial (P&L) models to drive strategic decision-making.
  3. Develop the strategic vision and long-term roadmap to achieve business objectives, ensuring a customer-centric approach and utilizing data analysis to guide decision-making.
  4. Lead internal technical conversations by outlining the technical design and owning trade-offs between technical cost and business value.
  5. Represent the reasons behind architecture decisions and bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions.
  6. Partner effectively with other leaders involved in the design, development, and delivery of software systems and features.
  7. Influence adjacent teams' roadmaps and collaborate with them regarding approach and prioritization.
  8. Create success measurements linked to desired customer outcomes and set goal targets for these measurements.
About the Team

The new AWS Billing Core Product team aims to accelerate our customers and AWS growth by spearheading continuous multi-year billing product strategy definition across AWS billing organization and owning innovation of billing-wide concepts.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product
  • Experience in technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
