About the Role:
As a Captain at Dave & Buster's, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring their initial impression of our venue is positive and welcoming. You'll act as an ambassador, assisting guests with all requests and answering questions as needed. Your strong communication skills will guide our guests through their Midway, retail, game rental, and dining experiences. Additionally, you'll play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of our unit, enforcing house policies, and reporting any issues to management.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an unparalleled guest experience by combining excellent food, drinks, and games in a fun environment.
  • Act as an initial point of contact for matters related to safety and security across various areas, including front door, Viewpoints, Midway, bar areas, kitchen, back-of-house, private event rooms, and restrooms.
  • Greet guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while performing multiple job functions, smiling, and greeting guests upon entering.
  • Maintain open communication with guests, team members, and managers to provide timely and accurate service while managing wait times.
  • Effectively diffuse difficult guest situations, protecting staff integrity and safety while adhering to house policies.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of rental equipment, billiard supplies, and necessary stock replenishment.
  • Support special events setup and breakdown as directed by management.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English.
  • Physical demands include working in environments with hot and cold temperatures, standing for long periods, walking or standing 100% of shift, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
