Job Summary

As a Telecommunications Systems Specialist at the University of Texas at Austin, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Voice Services Systems, including Voicemail, Auto-Attendants, Queues, and Voice PBX. You will also administer and maintain accurate record keeping in cable management systems for Networking and Telecom cabling plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain Voice Services Systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with service SLA's.
  • Administer and maintain work order, trouble ticket systems, and ServiceNow, maintaining proficiency.
  • Review cabling manifests, test results, footages, and other related infrastructure details in as-builts and create outlet schemes for ITS and capital projects.
  • Provide punch lists to ITS Facilities Design as needed.
  • Assist ITS Business Office and customers on best practices and solutions for their telephone systems.
  • Coordinate special projects and events as requested.

Requirements

University degree in a related field and relevant experience in telecommunications systems management.
