Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a CANS District System Support Specialist in our Region 8 office. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage the day-to-day activities of staff in the CANS Assessor unit to achieve project goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CANS program requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff on CANS assessment and certification processes.
• Collaborate with executive management to develop strategic plans and goals for the department.
• Work with the Texas Child-Centered Care System implementation team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement techniques for evaluating business function, division, or department activities.
• Plan and develop a budget, evaluate budget requests, and monitor budget expenditures.
• Supervise the work of others, including hiring and training staff.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or public administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a social services or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to the Child Protective Services (CPS) program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, with a focus on improving outcomes for children and families.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
