As a key member of the GAMPAC team, the VP Operations will be responsible for leading the operations department and driving business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Site Leadership: Oversee the overall site management for standalone locations, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Planning and Directing: Establish long-term operations objectives and develop strategic plans to achieve them. Integrate operations functions and processes to drive business success.
- Profitable Operations: Plan, organize, and direct operations to maintain profitability. Control inventory, losses, accidents, and safety to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with government and regulatory agency guidelines. Implement programs to promote overall safety, security, maintenance, and ergonomics.
- Personnel and Company Policy: Delegate responsibility to managers and enforce company policies on safety and employee discipline. Communicate changes to the workforce and oversee work and performance.
- Networking: Participate in industry organizations and networking opportunities to bring in knowledge and share best practices.
- Union Facilities: Negotiate terms of collective bargaining agreements.
- Education: 4-year degree preferred (or High School Diploma and equivalent experience).
- Experience: 10 years operations experience, with various job functions in distribution management, and minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Knowledge/Skills: D.O.T. regulations, Labor Relations, Selecting/interviewing/recruiting, Customer Service, budgeting and cost control, knowledge of OSHA, HAACP, and other regulations, PC skills.
