Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed physician, this Advanced Practice Nurse will serve as a provider in a community mental health setting, providing medical services within the scope of their license, training, credentialing, and current standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine and document evidence of psychopathology, if present, and make a diagnostic formulation.
  • Assess client needs and options to satisfy the requirements of the case.
  • Discuss findings and recommendations with the client.
  • Decide whether initiation of treatment is urgent and verify written consent for medication.
  • Carry out treatment plans and document interactions during sessions and progress of therapy.
  • Work harmoniously with Unit Manager(s), Medical Director, and Chief Medical Officer to define and deliver quality clinical medical care.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing school/PA school.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatric Mental Health or Physician Assistant in Texas.
  • DEA license.
  • Current and valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
