Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Urology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Urology America in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with urologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient needs.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and administer medications, as well as perform procedures in accordance with approved protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and health goals.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on health-related topics, including disease management and prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Successful completion of advanced nurse practitioner training and certification from approved nurse practitioner program (APRN).
  • MSN required; DNP preferred for APRNs only.
  • Successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program and certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Successful training and completion of an accredited certified nurse specialist (CNS) or family/primary nurse practitioner program (NP) and certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus one year of nurse practitioner experience.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
