Job Title: Director of Student Data Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Student Data Services to join our team at Talent Harbor. As a key member of our Data and Technology department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student data, as well as developing and implementing data-driven strategies to improve educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of data for AR purposes
  • Develop and implement best-in-class team culture practices to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Manage the professional growth and development of direct reports to build a strong leadership pipeline
  • Create and implement short- and long-term departmental vision, utilizing project management, customer service, and change management skills to drive optimal outcomes
  • Identify, create, and implement improvement initiatives and solutions, working with internal and external stakeholders to address gaps and areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain a repository for weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting of key organizational drivers
  • Stay current on trends and best practices for data and technology to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Education, Data Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Three years of experience in CALPADS data collection, error correction, SIS-to-CALPADS data, and certification
  • Three or more years of experience in Special Education Data Clerk, attendance collection, reporting, and auditing tasks
  • Two years of System Administrator experience with one or more Student Information Systems (PowerSchool, Aeries, and/or Infinite Campus)
  • Prior team management experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications, such as PMP, CAPM, ITIL, etc.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

Working Conditions:

  • Work indoors in a standard office environment
  • Occasionally work outside of normal workdays and office hours to meet deadlines
  • Travel may be required for professional development events and to client locations
