Nurse Manager

North Oaks Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position working 7am-7pm, rotating weekends.
Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager will oversee patient care for assigned departments/unit, coordinating clinical care and ensuring cohesive delivery of services. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise staff and provide feedback to department leadership for performance improvement.
Responsibilities- Validate staffing needs with Administrative Nursing Supervisor based on unit's staffing plan and patient care needs.
- Monitor and maintain efficient patient flow, collaborating with Bed Control for proper patient placement.
- Round on patients to ensure satisfaction of patient experience and provide immediate service recovery for noted issues.
- Ensure compliance with hourly rounding expectations for care team and monitor staff for compliance with service delivery initiatives.
- Assume or monitor the care of critically ill patients until appropriate transfer has been completed.
- Document all care delivered and reassessments completed.
- Monitor staff productivity and adjust staffing as patient volume changes.
The ideal candidate will have 18 months of LPN experience and 6 months of RN experience, with successful completion of preceptor course within 12 months. Alternatively, 1 year of RN experience with successful completion of preceptor course within 12 months is also acceptable. A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school is required, along with current registration with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Estimated Salary: $83,000 - $110,000 per year-
