Job SummaryThe Caregiving Professional provides nursing care for patients with common, well-defined health problems under the supervision of a registered nurse. They utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans, adhering to established standards of practice.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver quality care by collecting data, identifying deviations from normal, and assisting with reassessments as needed.
- Accurately document findings in the patient record and communicate pertinent assessment information with healthcare members.
- Implement care interventions identified in individualized treatment plans using accepted standards of practice in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Conduct bedside laboratory tests, wound care, and provide comfort and assistance with daily living activities.
- Promote patients' ability to cope with illness and stressors.
- Provide supportive communication, culturally acceptable interventions, and document special needs.
- Deliver medications according to facility policies and physician orders, ensuring accurate communication and documentation of medication doses and patient education.
- Follow up on patient care responsibilities, communicate incomplete assignments, and assure continuity of care.
This role requires a strong foundation in caregiving skills, effective communication, and collaboration with healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive work environment.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and location.
