Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant

ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant will provide nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or other assigned supervisor. This includes collecting data through observation, communicating information to assist in patient assessment and care planning, and participating as a member of the healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be skilled in mentoring and instructing, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Computer skills are required, and prior experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
QualificationsGraduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program. If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required. One year LPN experience within the last five years is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work daytime hours are essential. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting is also required.

LocationThis position will cover Medical Specialties between Red Wing and Cannon Falls. Mayo Clinic has locations throughout the Midwest, including Rochester, Minnesota, and at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities.
