Position Overview:

The Avionics Systems Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing intricate technical tasks with minimal supervision. This role involves the testing, diagnosing, repairing, and modifying a variety of electronic avionics systems within a regulated environment, adhering to industry standards and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize precision testing instruments for the alignment and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
  • Adhere to established procedures while employing hand tools and measurement devices effectively.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with product standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and testing on repair units to ensure functionality.
  • Adjust and calibrate advanced electronic components to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Employ MRO software tools for operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate on project teams to achieve technical objectives.
  • Apply technical knowledge in the assessment and development of complex electronic products and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Leverage extensive experience to strategize and meet operational goals.

Safety Considerations:

This position is classified as safety-sensitive, necessitating compliance with regulatory drug and alcohol testing protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of formal education.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
  • Background in electronics with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or service context.
  • Experience in electronic maintenance is essential.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in electronic equipment are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or military experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in aviation electronics repair or manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CMM/SB documentation is a plus.
  • Background in electronic maintenance and testing is preferred.

Work Environment:

This role is designated as onsite, requiring employees to work primarily in a facility setting.
