Ground Support Equipment Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment Technician to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of our Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain GSE in accordance with applicable processes and policies.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
- Prepare GSE for storage and transportation, and maintain equipment records using automated maintenance data systems.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, and inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
- Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, and disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.
- Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories, and store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
- Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles, maintain vehicle records, and maintain and update paper and electronic equipment records.
- Provide dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years in a field relevant to the position description.
- Completed corrosion control training.
- Knowledgeable of supply procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Top Secret Security Clearance Required. US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
- Cutting and welding experience preferred.
