About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team at the MCNU Children's School. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and supervision of an exemplary curriculum for the designated program, using a reflective, inquiry approach to analyze and improve instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum linked to the Early Childhood Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to study and assess children's learning, continuously improving instruction at the school and contributing to the knowledge base of teaching.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and support of children.
  • Use academic and social emotional curriculum to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the program.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and other members of the Children's School staff, including home-school visits, parent/teacher conferences, and weekly staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of recent successful classroom teaching experience.
  • 12 Early Childhood/Child Development Education Units.
  • Knowledge of a Constructivist, Experiential model of education.
  • Commitment to an inclusive, culturally sustaining education model.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
