Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced educator to develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in our preschoolers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum development, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that incorporates Jewish values, holidays, and Hebrew language into the preschool program.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and respectful classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's achievements and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and the program director to ensure the success of the Gan Mah Tov program.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a preschool teacher; experience in a Jewish educational setting is preferred but not required.
  • 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required.
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of Jewish values, holidays, and traditions is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
