Behavior Analysis Instructor Trainee

Position Overview:

The Behavior Analysis Instructor Trainee role is dedicated to equipping individuals for effective teaching and fostering student achievement in ABA Online programs, including both certificate and master's pathways. This position is ideal for those new to instruction or existing instructors looking to expand their expertise into additional ABA Online courses.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Engage with weekly instructional videos and participate in interactive activities to enhance learning.
  • Complete a minimum of one assessment for each unit on a weekly basis.
  • Attend at least one online meeting weekly, selecting from various instructors (for new trainees).
  • Develop educational materials for each unit using resources provided by the Curriculum and Instruction Team.
  • Fulfill weekly training assignments designed for new instructors.
  • Participate in a pre-semester meeting or review recorded sessions prior to each semester.
  • Provide clear availability for scheduling up to one semester in advance.
  • Conduct a mock meeting prior to the commencement of the first teaching term (for new trainees).

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in behavior analysis or a related discipline, with teaching or training experience in behavior analysis.
  • Maintain active certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of behavior analysis principles and concepts.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching capabilities.
  • Support student success and achieve high satisfaction ratings.
  • Show initiative and the ability to self-manage tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and platforms (e.g., LMS/Canvas).
  • Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection for online engagement.
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Adhere to core values that align with the mission of the ABA online programs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student success and field advancement.
  • Exhibit leadership by setting a positive example and assisting peers.
  • Proactively identify tasks, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Work independently with integrity in a flexible remote environment.
