Job Overview

Customer Support Specialist

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is in search of a dedicated Customer Support Specialist who will serve as a vital resource for clients, financial professionals, channel partners, and distributors through various communication channels including phone, email, and chat.

This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office responsibilities, requiring a strong commitment to reliability and service excellence.

Location: Hybrid work arrangement

Working Hours: Primarily between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver empathetic, prompt, and precise assistance to clients, financial professionals, channel partners, and distributors through telephone, email, and chat, ensuring adherence to service and quality benchmarks.
  • Guide clients in initiating various insurance claims.
  • Clarify and resolve intricate issues related to claims, policies, or accounts for clients.
  • Achieve or surpass call center performance metrics while providing an outstanding customer experience.
  • Participate in cross-training for additional product lines after successfully completing the primary training program.

  • Proficient in computer usage, capable of navigating multiple systems, and possessing strong typing skills.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills in a dynamic call center environment.
  • Strong retention of information and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the organization.

Technical Requirements:

  • Wired internet connection (not Wi-Fi) with service provided by fiber, cable, or DSL.
  • Internet speed: Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps (100 Mbps preferred), upload speed of 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Proficiency in using a keyboard, mouse, and computer for up to 6-8 hours daily.
  • Ability to use a phone for approximately 6-8 hours daily.
  • Capability for simple grasping, including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, and folding, periodically throughout the workday.
