We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven field sales executive who is eager to contribute to a culture focused on driving digital transformation for our large and intricate clients. The role of the Service Line Sales Specialist (SLS) is designed for those who are passionate about identifying, pursuing, and securing opportunities within targeted industry sectors.

The SLS brings specialized knowledge in one or more of the Digital Business & Technology (DB&T) practices or business domains, providing essential support to Cognizant's client account teams as they strategize for market expansion and explore new business avenues. Typically, SLS professionals are assigned to established markets, although some may also venture into new client acquisition.

As a Service Line Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and Cognizant Client Partners, combining strategic insight with practical sales expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth within DB&T and designated industries.
  • Expand the sales pipeline through existing client relationships and, when appropriate, new client engagements.
  • Adopt a proactive 'hunting' approach to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, articulating compelling value propositions.
  • Encourage solution-oriented sales models and foster long-term, value-driven contracts.
  • Share relevant industry insights and technological perspectives with clients and colleagues to enhance Cognizant's value proposition.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to navigate complex client environments effectively.
  • Utilize best practices in sales to close deals, including client engagement strategies and the use of Cognizant's sales tools.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships to unlock further growth and cross-selling opportunities at executive levels.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of DB&T offerings, products, credentials, and case studies.
  • Actively engage and collaborate with DB&T sales teams and account/client teams.
  • Establish and sustain productive relationships with alliance partners where applicable.
  • Generate and manage sales forecasts for deals that meet or exceed budget expectations using Cognizant's CRM tools.
  • Ensure regular updates to the CRM system to reflect all sales activities.
  • Participate in routine sales pipeline reviews and strategy sessions.
  • Contribute creatively to client account planning and pipeline development initiatives.
  • Assist in proposal development, collaborating with bid management and solution architecture teams.
  • Identify opportunities for early renewals that can lead to transformative discussions with clients.
Qualifications
  • Salesforce Expertise - Familiarity with various Salesforce Clouds, including Sales, Marketing, Service, and Commerce.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT services and sales within large enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales quotas.
  • Experience in developing opportunity pipelines and securing high-priority deals.
  • Demonstrated success in closing sales, particularly in expanding existing client accounts.
  • Recent experience in IT professional services or management consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more DB&T service line practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and adaptable to client needs.
  • Strong client engagement and leadership abilities, focused on building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% under normal conditions.
