About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mold Repair Manager to join our team at Ardagh Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of mold design and quality of containers for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Direct Mold Equipment Revisions: Develop and implement strategies to improve mold equipment performance, ensuring quality containers and meeting company standards.
  • Inspect and Oversee Safety Hazards: Identify and correct departmental safety hazards, and observe and correct employee safety work practices and procedures.
  • Instruct and Counsel on Mold Equipment Revision and Repair Methods: Provide guidance and training to employees on mold equipment revision and repair techniques.
  • Work with Corporate and Plant Scheduling: Collaborate with corporate and plant scheduling teams to ensure adequate mold equipment and related parts for job changes.
  • Order Mold Equipment Inserts, Tools, and Supplies: Procure and manage the inventory of mold equipment inserts, tools, and supplies.
  • Supply Serviceable Mold Equipment: Ensure sufficient serviceable mold equipment for successful production runs.
  • Maintain Records and Inventory: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing equipment transfers, and direct the inspection and inventory of all incoming mold equipment.
  • Monitor Mold Life and Track Inventory: Track the life of mold equipment and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Comply with Environmental and Food Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with environmental and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Glass Manufacturing: A minimum of 10 years of experience in glass manufacturing, with a focus on mold repair, job changes, machine repair equipment, and management.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient Organizational, Analytical, and Planning Skills: Proficiency in organizational, analytical, and planning skills is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Ability to Work in a Heavy Industrial Environment: Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment with a high level of risk.
  • Ability to Work Outside of Regular Hours: Ability to work outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to Prioritize Work and Have a Sense of Urgency: Ability to prioritize work and have a sense of urgency is essential.
  • Ability to Travel Up to 5%: Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a Related Discipline: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 15+ Years of Experience in Glass Manufacturing: A minimum of 15 years of experience in glass manufacturing, with a focus on mold repair, job changes, machine repair equipment, and management.
  • Prior Experience with Work Order Management Database: Prior experience with work order management databases, such as Fiix, is preferred.
