Mechanical Maintenance Job Description

Michelin is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance professional to join our team. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in preventive maintenance (PMs) to maximize production and ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Establish machine repair priorities and troubleshoot machinery in assigned areas of the manufacturing process.
  • Interface with production, quality, engineering, and support functions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Use lockout/tagout procedures when working on equipment and perform repairs and/or PMs that have a direct bearing on tire uniformity and quality.
  • Perform all duties assigned and take responsibility for timely technical progression to achieve job level expectations.
  • Appreciate the impact of maintenance repairs on quality, uniformity, the environment, and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • One or more of the following: 2-3 years' experience in a relevant maintenance position, Associates degree relevant to the open maintenance position, Journeyman's card relevant to the open position, Military Background with technical training relevant to the open position, or Must pass entry-level skills assessment in the craft relevant to the open position.
  • Must be able to pass a Company physical including a hair drug screen.
Benefits:
  • Level 1 pay $39.70, Level 2 pay after 120 days $41.27 (provided you are a Journeyman in your trade), plus $1.25 adder for shift pay.
  • Plus a $1500.00 sign-on bonus.
  • Plus a $2500.00 retention bonus after employment of 1 year.
