Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. You will also analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts, maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules, and close Fixed Assets and Construction in Progress monthly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules
  • Close fixed assets and construction in progress monthly
  • Provide backup for AP and AR processes
  • Process construction draw requisitions
  • Prepare reports required under bond agreements
  • Aid in budget preparation and reporting
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in non-profit or healthcare is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel
  • Prior exposure to accounting software is a must
